Ambassador Nagma Mallick receives the Union Commerce and Industry Minister at Haneda Airport; visit from August 24 to 27 aims to deepen India-Japan economic partnership
Tokyo, August 24: Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal arrived in Japan on Sunday for a four-day visit aimed at strengthening trade and investment cooperation between India and Japan.
Goyal was received at Haneda Airport by India’s Ambassador to Japan, Nagma Mallick.
The Commerce and Industry Minister is visiting Japan from August 24 to 27, leading a business delegation comprising approximately 200 members.
The visit reflects the strong commitment of India and Japan to further strengthen their Special Strategic and Global Partnership and comes at a significant time as both countries seek to deepen bilateral trade and investment relations.
With a large business delegation accompanying the minister, the visit is expected to provide fresh momentum to commercial engagement and explore new opportunities for cooperation between businesses and industries of the two countries.
The visit is also seen as part of efforts to advance the India-Japan Next Generation Economic Partnership, with both nations looking to expand and diversify their economic and investment engagement.
