Skyroot CEO Pawan Chandana Meets PM Modi, Discusses Growing Global Interest in India’s Space Sector

New Delhi : Pawan Chandana, Co-founder and CEO of Skyroot Aerospace, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discussed the growing momentum in India’s private space sector following the successful Vikram-1 mission.

Describing his interaction with the Prime Minister as always energising, Chandana said PM Modi’s decision to open India’s space sector to private participation had made journeys such as Skyroot’s possible. He added that every interaction with the Prime Minister inspires the country’s space entrepreneurs to aim higher.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister was keen to know about the global response to the launch of Vikram-1 and its impact on India’s rapidly evolving space ecosystem. Chandana said the mission has generated greater excitement about space among startups and entrepreneurs, strengthened investor interest and attracted increased global attention towards India’s space capabilities.

Chandana described the current phase as a defining moment in India’s space journey, saying that there is still much more to achieve in the country’s expanding space sector.

Prime Minister Modi also met Skyroot co-founders Pawan Chandana and Naga Bharath Daka following the Vikram-1 mission and praised the energy, ambition and positivity of India’s growing private space ecosystem.
