Yamuna Rejuvenation Will Transform Delhi, Says Delhi Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh

New Delhi : Delhi Cabinet Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh said the rejuvenation of the Yamuna River will play a key role in transforming the national capital and fulfilling the vision of a developed Delhi.

During a study tour of the Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad along with government officials, Singh highlighted the project as an example of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and resolve for a developed India.

Singh said the Sabarmati Riverfront has not only transformed the river but also changed the face and identity of Ahmedabad, demonstrating the potential of riverfront development to contribute to urban transformation.

He said the visit provided greater clarity on the possibilities for the rejuvenation and redevelopment of the Yamuna in Delhi.

“Just as Sabarmati gave Ahmedabad a new identity, Mother Yamuna will become the new stream of Delhi’s development,” Singh said.

He expressed confidence that the Yamuna would regain its glory and that Delhi would have a grand riverfront, with the rejuvenation of the river marking the beginning of a new era of development for the national capital.

Singh reiterated the resolve that “Yamuna will transform, Delhi will transform”, and said the vision of a developed Delhi would be fulfilled.
