Indian Ambassador V. Doraiswami Meets Chinese Vice Commerce Minister to Discuss Trade and Market Access

New Delhi/Beijing : India’s Ambassador to China, V. Doraiswami, met Yan Dong, Member of the CPC Leadership Group of the Ministry of Commerce and Vice Minister of Commerce of China, to discuss ways to further strengthen bilateral trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on enhancing India-China trade and economic ties, with a particular focus on promoting sustainable trade and improving market access for Indian products, including pharmaceuticals.

Both sides also discussed the importance of expanding commercial engagement and agreed to strengthen mutual cooperation and communication to facilitate greater trade and investment opportunities.

The meeting reflects the continued engagement between India and China to deepen economic cooperation and address issues related to bilateral trade while exploring opportunities for expanding market access for Indian exports.
