New Delhi: The education partnership between Australia and India is entering a new phase, with more Australian universities receiving approval to establish campuses and deliver world-class education in India. Flinders University has received approval to set up a university campus in India, becoming the latest Australian institution to join the growing group of Australian universities approved for operations in the country. This information is released by Jason Clare MP, Minister for Education Australia.
Highlighting the importance of education as a key pillar of the Australia-India relationship, officials emphasised that the partnership is not a one-way exchange limited to Indian students travelling to Australia. Instead, it is evolving into a two-way collaboration, with Australian universities bringing their expertise, research capabilities, and educational models directly to India.
The developments reflect the shared vision of both countries to enhance academic cooperation, promote innovation, increase student mobility, and create new opportunities for learners and institutions.
An education roundtable was also held with representatives from the university sector to discuss the progress of this initiative and explore further avenues for collaboration.
