New Delhi : India and Israel have taken a significant step towards strengthening trade facilitation and supply chain cooperation with the signing of a Joint Action Plan for phased negotiations of an Authorised Economic Operator Mutual Recognition Arrangement (AEO-MRA).

The agreement was signed on 8 July 2026 by Shri Yogendra Garg, Special Secretary, Government of India and Member (Customs), Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), and Mr. Kfir Hen, Director General of Customs, Israel.

The strategic initiative aims to enhance cooperation between the customs authorities of both countries by establishing a framework for recognising trusted economic operators and promoting more efficient cross-border trade.
