New Delhi : Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday announced his new book ‘Apnapan’, which reflects on his 35-year-long association and experiences with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The book will be formally launched on May 26, 2026, at the NASC Complex in Pusa, New Delhi, in the presence of former Vice President Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu and former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda.
Addressing a press conference in Delhi, Shri Chouhan described the book as a deeply personal account that traces his journey with Prime Minister Modi through decades of organisational work, governance, public service and nation-building. He said the book offers readers a closer understanding of PM Modi’s leadership style, work ethic, sensitivity and commitment to national interest.
Shri Chouhan said his association with Narendra Modi began during the 1991 Ekta Yatra and evolved over the years through various organisational and governmental responsibilities. He noted that while the world recognises PM Modi as a decisive global leader, he has personally witnessed in him the qualities of a dedicated Karmayogi committed entirely to the nation.
Recalling the Ekta Yatra, the Union Minister said Narendra Modi transformed the campaign into a movement of national consciousness aimed at inspiring patriotism and dedication among the youth. He added that the experience taught him that leadership is built through discipline, sacrifice and commitment rather than speeches alone.
Highlighting PM Modi’s organisational abilities, Shri Chouhan said the Prime Minister possesses a remarkable ability to connect with grassroots workers, build organisations and resolve complex challenges through clarity and determination. He also spoke about PM Modi’s sensitivity towards party workers, farmers, women and the underprivileged, describing compassion as one of the defining features of his leadership.
Referring to the COVID-19 pandemic, Shri Chouhan said Prime Minister Modi demonstrated patience, foresight and composure during one of the most challenging periods faced by the country, providing direction and confidence to the nation.
Clarifying the essence of the book, Shri Chouhan said ‘Apnapan’ is not merely a collection of events but a reflection of an idea, a vision and a spirit of nation-building. He expressed confidence that the book would inspire young people by conveying the message that national transformation requires dedication, discipline, service and a deep connection with society.
