New Delhi : Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday and briefed him on the progress made in bilateral cooperation following the 23rd India-Russia Annual Summit held in December 2025.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi and Foreign Minister Lavrov exchanged views on key regional and global developments, including the situations in Ukraine and West Asia.
The Prime Minister reiterated India’s consistent position that dialogue and diplomacy remain the best path forward in addressing ongoing conflicts and international challenges.
Prime Minister Modi also requested Foreign Minister Lavrov to convey his warm greetings to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
