New Delhi : Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) today handed over four ALH Mk III Maritime Role (MR) helicopters to the Indian Coast Guard at a ceremony held in Bengaluru, meeting the scheduled delivery timeline and further strengthening the Coast Guard’s maritime operational capabilities.
The event was attended by Rajesh Makwana, Deputy Inspector General and Commander (Western Seaboard), along with P. B. Rangarao, CEO of HAL’s Helicopter Complex.
The induction of these helicopters is expected to significantly enhance the Indian Coast Guard’s capability in maritime surveillance, search and rescue operations, and coastal security, reinforcing its role in safeguarding national maritime interests.
