New Delhi : Donald Trump has stated that US military forces will continue to remain deployed in and around Iran until a “genuine agreement” is fully implemented.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said that US ships, aircraft, troops, and additional military resources would stay in position to ensure the complete elimination of what he described as an already weakened adversary.

He warned that if the agreement fails to materialize—though he termed it unlikely—military action could resume on a much larger scale. According to him, any such escalation would surpass previous conflicts in intensity and scale.

Trump also asserted that the situation had effectively been resolved, dismissing contrary claims as misleading. He emphasized that no nuclear weapons would be used and assured that the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz would remain open and secure.

Highlighting military preparedness, he added that US forces are currently replenishing supplies and resting while remaining ready for future operations, describing the posture as one of readiness for the next phase if required.
