New Delhi : The Ministry of AYUSH will commemorate World Homoeopathy Day 2026 on April 10 at Vigyan Bhawan, alongside a two-day interactive forum bringing together key stakeholders from across the healthcare ecosystem.c
Centred on the theme “Homoeopathy for Sustainable Health,” the event aims to explore the evolving role of homoeopathy in building resilient and sustainable healthcare systems. Policymakers, researchers, practitioners, and delegates will deliberate on how homoeopathy can contribute to accessible, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible healthcare, aligned with global priorities such as Universal Health Coverage and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3 on Good Health and Well-being.
The programme will be attended by Prataprao Jadhav and Rajesh Kotecha, along with senior officials and experts from across the country.
Organised by the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy, the event will showcase advancements in research, public health initiatives, and policy developments in homoeopathy. Discussions will focus on strengthening scientific validation, maintaining ethical standards, and integrating homoeopathy into mainstream healthcare systems.
Amid rising healthcare costs, increasing chronic disease burden, and concerns such as antimicrobial resistance, the forum will highlight homoeopathy’s potential as a sustainable medical approach, characterised by minimal ecological impact and emphasis on the body’s natural healing mechanisms.
Special sessions will examine its role in preventive and promotive healthcare, management of lifestyle and chronic conditions, and reducing reliance on conventional pharmacotherapy. The discussions will also address eco-friendly pharmaceutical practices, biodiversity conservation, and the integration of traditional knowledge with modern science.
With growing acceptance of homoeopathy in India and globally, particularly in community healthcare, the ministry aims to expand its reach through evidence-based practices and greater integration into national health programmes.
The event is expected to reinforce India’s leadership in traditional systems of medicine and provide momentum towards building a more inclusive, sustainable, and future-ready healthcare ecosystem, while fostering collaboration and innovation among stakeholders.
