Gurugram : A review meeting was held in Gurugram to ensure smooth and fair conduct of the HCS (Executive Branch) Preliminary Examination–2025, organised by the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC).
During the meeting, HPSC Member Sonia Trikha stressed that the examination must be conducted with full transparency, fairness, and proper coordination among all departments. Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar welcomed her and shared insights from previous examinations.
The exam is scheduled for April 26, 2026 (Sunday) in two sessions—from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Officials made it clear that no candidate will be allowed to enter after the reporting time.
Strict Security Arrangements
To prevent malpractice, several security measures have been put in place:
- CCTV surveillance at all examination centres
- Biometric attendance verification
- Use of mobile jammers to block network signals
- Strict frisking and baggage checks
- Imposition of Section 144 to avoid crowd gatherings
Parking and unnecessary movement will also be restricted within a 500-meter radius of exam centres, and sufficient police force will be deployed to maintain law and order.
Dr. Sonia Trikha emphasized that maintaining the integrity of the exam is the top priority and warned that cheating or unfair practices will not be tolerated. Continuous monitoring and inspections will be carried out throughout the exam.
Focus on Candidate Comfort
Officials were instructed to treat candidates with care and respect, ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience. Any issues faced by candidates should be resolved immediately so they can appear for the exam without difficulty.
Guidelines for Candidates
Candidates must carry a valid admit card and original ID proof for entry. Electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, and scanners are strictly prohibited.
Special instructions have been issued:
- Sikh candidates wearing Kara or carrying Kirpan must arrive early for security checks
- Married women may wear Mangalsutra after checking
- Late entry will not be allowed under any circumstances
Basic Facilities at Centres
All exam centres will be equipped with essential facilities like electricity, drinking water, sanitation, seating arrangements, and wall clocks. Officials have been directed to inspect centres in advance and fix any issues.
Dr. Sonia Trikha urged all officials to perform their duties responsibly to ensure the examination is conducted smoothly, fairly, and without disruption.
