PM Modi to Launch Mega Projects, Museum and Semiconductor Facility During Gujarat Visit

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat on March 31, 2026, where he is scheduled to inaugurate major infrastructure, technology, and cultural projects while addressing multiple public gatherings.

The day will begin in Gandhinagar, where the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Samrat Samprati Museum at Koba. Opened on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, the museum celebrates the legacy of Samrat Samprati and presents the rich heritage of Jainism through a blend of traditional artefacts and modern digital displays.

Later, in Sanand, he will inaugurate the Kaynes Semicon Plant, marking a key milestone in India’s semiconductor manufacturing journey. The facility will begin commercial production of advanced Intelligent Power Modules and is expected to significantly boost domestic chip packaging capabilities under the India Semiconductor Mission.

In the afternoon, the Prime Minister will travel to Vav-Tharad, where he will launch and dedicate multiple development projects worth over ₹20,000 crore. These initiatives span sectors such as roads, railways, power, health, urban development, and water infrastructure.

Among the key highlights, the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway will be inaugurated to improve regional connectivity and support industrial growth. Several highway and bypass projects will also be initiated to enhance logistics and accessibility, including routes connecting important areas and tourism sites like Dholavira.

The visit will also see the launch of major railway upgrades, power transmission systems supporting renewable energy, and urban development projects aimed at improving public services and infrastructure across the state.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will inaugurate healthcare facilities, tourism projects such as light and sound shows at heritage sites, and water supply schemes benefiting thousands of residents in rural and urban areas. A government hostel for students in Ahmedabad will also be opened to support educational access.

The visit underscores the government’s continued focus on infrastructure expansion, technological advancement, and inclusive development across Gujarat.
