MCG Seals a Property in Jharsa Village for Outstanding Property Tax of ₹67.69 lakh

Gurugram : As part of the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram’s ongoing campaign against property tax defaulters, a property in Jharsa village was sealed on Thursday. Property tax dues of ₹67,69,116 were pending on the property.

The action was carried out by the Tax Branch team under the direction of Zonal Taxation Officer Rajesh Yadav. According to ZTO Rajesh Yadav, the property owner was sent several notices asking him to pay the tax, but despite repeated notices, he failed to pay. Ultimately, the Corporation implemented the sealing action.

Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya stated that the Municipal Corporation is continuously taking action against tax defaulters. He added that it is the responsibility of every property owner to pay taxes on time to strengthen the Municipal Corporation’s financial system and improve civic amenities. Those who fail to pay taxes despite repeated notices will face sealing, attachment, and recovery action. He appealed to all property owners to cooperate with the corporation in building a clean, strong and self-reliant Gurugram by paying their taxes as soon as possible.
