New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made a big announcement from the ramparts of the Red Fort with a view to tighten the security of the country. In his address on the 79th Independence Day, Prime Minister Modi, learning from the situation arising from Operation Sindoor, announced that India will launch Mission ‘Sudarshan Chakra’. He said that Mission ‘Sudarshan Chakra’ will be a powerful weapon system, which will destroy the enemy’s attack and will also hit back on the enemy many times more. This system that will be developed in India will be deployed as a security shield for all the important strategic, tactical, military, educational, religious and other institutions of national civilian importance in the country.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that in the next 10 years i.e. till 2035, the country’s major places, strategic and civilian areas and religious centers will be given a security shield from the new platform of technology. This security shield should be continuously expanded, every citizen of the country should feel safe, whatever kind of technology comes to attack us, our technology should prove to be better than that, therefore I want to expand the national security shield in the next 10 years i.e. till 2035. PM Modi has pledged on the 79th Independence Day that he wants to strengthen and modernize the security shield.

In his address, PM Modi said, “Inspired by Lord Krishna, we have chosen the path of his Sudarshan Chakra. In the battle of Mahabharata, Shri Krishna had blocked the sunlight with his Sudarshan Chakra and made it dark during the day. At that time, Arjuna was able to fulfill his oath of killing Jayadratha. That was the result of the might and strategy of Sudarshan Chakra. Now the country will launch Sudarshan Chakra Mission.”

The Prime Minister said that India has decided the basic things for the ‘Sudarshan Chakra’ mission. We want to take them forward with intensity in the next 10 years. He said, “Research, development and manufacturing for this modern system will be done in India itself and it will have the talent of the youth of the country. There will be a system which will work out the ‘plus-one’ strategy according to the conditions of war. We will move forward towards developing the system of target and action through Sudarshan Chakra.”

Regarding the ‘Indigenous Defence System’, he has pledged to move forward with commitment to protect the nation and citizens in the changing methods of warfare.
