Elections for Senior Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Manesar Municipal Corporation concluded unopposed

Majedar : Elections for Senior Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Municipal Corporation Manesar were concluded on Tuesday. The special thing about the election was that both these posts were elected unopposed. Ward 12 councilor Praveen Yadav was elected Senior Deputy Mayor and Ward 2 councilor Reema Chauhan was elected Deputy Mayor. A total of 15 councilors attended the meeting, including 3 nominated councilors. During this, Haryana’s Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh was also present.
After the election, Industry Minister Rao Narbir Singh while talking to journalists said that the elections for two posts of Municipal Corporation Manesar were concluded peacefully. The councilors showed unity on the election of both the posts and made the workers of Bharatiya Janata Party unopposed Senior Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayor. Rao said that these elections were conducted in a transparent and cordial manner, in which the councillors showed discipline and unity. He said that unopposed election is a symbol of the strength of democratic values and organizational unity.
Cabinet Minister Rao Narbir Singh congratulated the newly elected Senior Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayor. He described it as a victory of the standards set by Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini and the Bharatiya Janata Party in the field of development, in which Antyodaya – the upliftment of the last person in the society has been given priority. He expressed confidence that in the coming five years, this new team of Municipal Corporation Manesar will set new records of development in the area. He said that the role of the corporation will be important in implementing the public welfare schemes of the Central and State Government at the ground level, all possible cooperation will be given by the government.
Municipal Corporation Commissioner Ayush Sinha congratulated and wished the newly elected Senior Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayor and said that now the number of the House of the Corporation has been completed. We will work with the House to make the Manesar Municipal Corporation a better corporation. Manesar Mayor Dr. Indrajit Kaur Yadav could not attend the meeting due to health reasons. In her absence, the councillors elected Ward 6 councillor Bal Kishan as their president and the elections were held under the chairmanship of Bal Kishan.
The time for filing nomination papers for the elections was fixed from 10:45 am to 11:30 am on Tuesday. During this time, out of the 12 councillors, only one councillor filed nomination papers for both the posts before the Returning Officer and Additional Commissioner of the Corporation Jitendra Kumar. Ward 12 councillor Praveen Yadav filed nomination papers for the post of Senior Deputy Mayor and Ward 2 councillor Reema Chauhan filed nomination papers for the post of Deputy Mayor. Praveen Yadav’s name was proposed by councillor Manoj and approved by councillor Dayaram. Similarly, Reema Chauhan’s name was proposed by councillor Ripu Sharma and approved by councillor Kanwarpal. No other councillor applied for these posts. All the councillors elected both these names unopposed.
During this, Municipal Corporation’s Joint Commissioner Hitendra Kumar, Joint Commissioner Lokesh Yadav, Ward 3 councilor Ruchi Kaushik, Ward 4 councilor Ripu Sharma, Ward 5 councilor Dinesh Yadav, Ward 6 councilor Bal Kishan, Ward 7 councilor Kanwar Pal, Ward 9 councilor Jyoti Verma, Ward 11 councilor Manoj, Ward 14 councilor Sangeeta, Ward 16 councilor Dayaram, Ward 17 councilor Suman Kumari, nominated councilor Satyadev Sharma, Sher Singh Chauhan, Kirori Tanwar and other Municipal Corporation officials were present.
