-47 cases heard in Bhondsi Jail, 33 cases settled and 34 undertrials released
Gurugram : District Legal Services Authority, Gurugram organized Jail Lok Adalat on the first and third Wednesday of July in District Jail Bhondsi as per the guidelines of Chandra Shekhar, District and Sessions Judge and Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Gurugram.
Chief Judicial Magistrate and Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Gurugram Rajat Verma informed that Jail Lok Adalat is organized twice every month. In this, cases of minor violations related to minor crimes are taken up. Such crimes which are generally punished with fine or short term imprisonment (less than three years) are settled through Lok Adalat.
A total of 47 cases were taken up in the Jail Lok Adalat organized in July, out of which 33 were settled and 34 undertrials were released.
