Gurugram Gets 41st Position at National level in Swachh Survey 2024-25, 7th in Haryana

– With the cooperation of citizens, even better improvement will be done in next year’s Swachh Survey

Gurugram : In the Swachh Survey 2024-25 organized by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs under the Swachh Bharat Mission, Municipal Corporation Gurugram has improved and secured 41st position at national level and 7th position in Haryana.

Last year, Gurugram got 140th position in Swachh Survey 2023-24. This year, with the combined efforts of the Municipal Corporation team, sanitation workers and citizens, Gurugram has jumped 99 places, which is considered a good improvement. Recently, many cleanliness initiatives were run by Municipal Corporation Gurugram, due to which there will be even better improvement in next year’s Swachh Survey and with the cooperation of citizens, we will be successful in getting Gurugram included in the list of top clean cities of the country. For this, cooperation and participation has been appealed from the general public.

In the Swachh Survekshan 2024-25, Gurugram has achieved 98 percent success in the field of waste processing, which is a significant achievement. At the same time, the city has performed 59 percent in door-to-door waste collection. Apart from this, Gurugram has also received Water Plus certification, which shows that the city has an advanced sewage treatment and reuse system, which meets environmental standards.

Gurugram Mayor Rajrani Malhotra said that this success is the result of the collective efforts of the people of Gurugram and the corporation team. With the cooperation of the citizens, Gurugram will definitely be among the cleanest cities in the country next year. He appealed to the citizens to separate the garbage and hand it over to the municipal corporation vehicles on time. Along with this, do not spread garbage in public places and immediately register complaints related to cleanliness on the corporation’s portal/app. This improvement of Gurugram will not only improve the image of the city, but it will also set an inspirational example under the Swachh Bharat Mission.

Municipal Corporation Gurugram Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya said that Gurugram’s 41st rank is the result of teamwork. Our public representatives, sanitation workers, officials and citizens have achieved this position together. We are still making continuous efforts to include Gurugram among the cleanest cities of the country in the next Swachh Survey. The Municipal Corporation will give priority to speeding up waste disposal, increasing door-to-door garbage collection, garbage segregation, green zone development and cleanliness awareness campaigns.
