Gurugram : The intensive campaign being run by Market Committee Gurugram against the use of banned plastic in Khandsa Sabzi Mandi is continuing. Under the campaign, challans worth ₹1,50,000 have been issued so far. Especially on Tuesday and Wednesday, challans worth ₹45,000 were issued.
Due to the strictness of the campaign and awareness efforts, a positive change is being seen among the traders and street vendors in the market. Earlier, where there was dissatisfaction regarding the challan, now the traders themselves are seen keeping distance from banned plastic. The use of jute bags is being promoted, and traders are doing business as per the rules without fear.
The Market Committee has appealed to all the traders and retailers working in the market to register a complaint directly in the Market Committee office in case of any kind of coercion, illegal recovery or corruption. This campaign against banned plastic will continue, and in future too, strict action will be taken as per rules if any violation is found. As per the instructions of Market Committee Secretary Yaduraj Yadav, this action is being taken daily, in which Assistant Secretary Sukhbir Singh, Mandi Supervisor Brajesh, Auction Recorder Satpal, Bhupendra Saini, Bhagat Singh and Govind are actively participating.
