New Delhi : Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini has given administrative approval to an amount of Rs 41.30 crore for reconstruction of Badhwana Distributory in Charkhi Dadri district. Giving this information today, an official spokesperson said that Badhwana Distributory is an irrigation canal located in Charkhi Dadri district. It is a part of the larger Loharu Canal System.
He informed that the project is likely to be completed by December 31, 2026. Its objective is to increase irrigation facilities, ensure adequate pond filling and improve drinking water availability for farmers and other beneficiaries. As a part of the proposal, the discharge capacity of the distributor will be increased to 235 cusecs to meet future irrigation demands.
This distributor provides irrigation and drinking water to Badhwana and surrounding areas
He said that the distributor provides irrigation and drinking water to villages Imlota, Kanheti, Morwala, Sarupgarh, Sator, Bhagvi, Samsapur, Dhani Phogat, Tikan Kalan, Ghasola, Kaliyana, Mandola, Kalali, Balali, Dudhwa and surrounding villages of Badhwana. This channel was constructed during 1971-72 with a design capacity of 176 cusecs. It is located at RD 42400-L of Loharu feeder and caters to the needs of sandy areas of Charkhi Dadri and Badhra constituencies.

The spokesperson said that Badhwana Distributory plays a major role in irrigating agricultural land through channels received from various R.D. These channels include villages Imlota, Sarupgrah-Santaur, Kanheti, Gothra, Adampura, Khedi Bura, Kalali, Balali, Bhagvi, Samsapur, Dhani Phogat, Dadri, Kapuri, Ghasola, Mandoli and Kaliana from Badhwana Distributory, villages Kaliana, Bharavi, Khedibhura, Gahsola and Dadri benefiting from Khedi Bura Minor, villages Dadri, Bharavi, Ghasola and Charkhi from Dabri Sub Minor.
Similarly, Khedi Sanwal Minor will benefit villages Khedisanwal, Balkara, Ramnagar, Tikankalan and Mehrana, 1-R Minor will benefit villages Kaliyana, Bharavi and Khedibhura, Gothra Minor will benefit villages Mandola, Mandoli, Balkara, Mori, Gothra, Khedi Sanwal and Mehrana, Ram Nagar Sub Minor will benefit villages Mandoli, Ghasola and Ramnagar, Makrana Sub Minor will benefit villages Balkara, Makrana and Makrani, Dadhi Chhillar Sub Minor will benefit villages Balkara, Dadhi Chhillar and Mandola, Gothra Sub Minor will benefit villages Tikankhurd and Mori and Dhudhwa Minor will benefit villages Dadhibana Balali, Jhojhu Kalan and Changrod.
14 water works tanks connected to Badhwana distributors provide potable water to residents of several villages
He said that 14 water works tanks are also connected through Badhwana distributory to provide potable water to residents living in several villages including Kanehti, Sarupgarh, Bahgavi, Kaliyavas, Sehlanga, Samsapur, Dhani Phogat, Gothra, Mori, Kapuri, Khedi Sanwal, Ghasola, Kaliyana and Kalali.
Ponds of 14 villages were also connected to this distributory
The spokesperson said that apart from this, ponds of 14 villages have also been connected to this distributory to improve the depleting level of groundwater and to provide adequate drinking water to birds and cattle, which will benefit various villages including Bhagvi, Samsapur, Dhani Phogat, Tikan Kalan, Kaliyali, Kaliyana, Adampur Dadhi and Balali.
