Panchayat by-elections Completes Peacefuly : Voting for Sarpanch in five Panchayats and Panch in one

Panchayat by-elections concluded in a peaceful atmosphere in Gurugram district,

– Voting went on from 8 am to 6 pm, counting of votes took place at the polling station itself

Gurugram : The Panchayat by-elections in the district were concluded in a peaceful and orderly manner today. Voters exercised their franchise for the post of Sarpanch in Nunera, Baikheda, Ranika Singhola, Palasoli and Rahnwa Panchayats and for the post of Panch in Ward 8 of Saidpur Mohammadpur Panchayat.

The voting process went on smoothly from 8 am to 6 pm. Tight security arrangements were made at all 7 polling stations. Enthusiasm was seen among the voters and the participation of women and senior citizen voters was remarkable at many places. As soon as the voting was completed, the counting process was started at all the centers and the results were declared there itself. All necessary arrangements were made by the administration to ensure transparency.

District Election Officer and DC Ajay Kumar informed that the election process was completely peaceful and no untoward incident was reported from anywhere. With the vigilance and cooperation of the administration, the election was conducted fairly and successfully.

District Development and Panchayat Officer Navneet Kaur informed that the counting of votes in all the Panchayats was completed at the polling station itself and the winning candidates were declared. She informed that in the by-election, Ashmeena in Gram Panchayat Nunera, Bhupendra Singh in Baikheda, Preeti Rani in Ranika Singhola, Anita in Palasoli and Rambir Singh in Rahnwa were declared winners of the post of Sarpanch. Similarly, Jai Kishan became the winner for the post of Panch in Ward 8 of Saidpur Mohammadpur Panchayat.
