On the 300th birth anniversary of Ahilyabai Holkar in Sonipat, BJP State President Baroli said – BJP’s resolve to make women self-reliant
Chandigarh : BJP State President Pandit Mohan Lal Baroli on Thursday remembered Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar on her 300th birth anniversary. In the ‘Women Empowerment and Honor Ceremony’ organized at Rai Sports School in Sonipat, Mr. Baroli said that Ahilyabai Holkar has an incomparable contribution to the preservation of Sanatan culture. Mr. Baroli highlighted Ahilyabai Holkar’s remarkable contribution in visionary governance, social welfare, religious tolerance and women empowerment. On this occasion, MLA Krishna Ahlawat, MLA Pawan Kharkhauda along with a large number of women, party officials, social workers and dignitaries were present.
BJP State President Mohan Lal Baroli said that Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar was the inspirational woman of Indian history who gave direction to the society with her leadership, justice and public welfare works. The life of Ahilyabai Holkar is still a source of inspiration for women. Mr. Baroli said that Ahilyabai Holkar promoted industrialization along with the wonderful service of ‘Sanatan Dharma’ by renovating many temples from Somnath to Kashi. She set many excellent examples of women empowerment and public welfare in the society.
Mr. Baroli said that Ahilyabai Holkar has also done exemplary work in the field of women empowerment. Her administrative vision and service spirit along with reverence towards sages and saints is still a source of inspiration. He said that Ahilyabai, with her administrative ability and foresight, promoted the saree industry in Mahishmati and made women self-reliant and independent. Mr. Baroli said that our double engine government is moving forward on the path shown by Ahilyabai Holkar to honor the women power and make them self-reliant.
Mohan Lal Baroli said that Modi government of the Center and Deputy Government of Haryana are continuously working for the social, economic and political empowerment of women, carrying forward the tradition of Rani Ahilyabai Holkar.
He said that the Deputy Government is working for the upliftment of every section by following the standards set by Ahilyabai Holkar in the field of good governance. He appealed to the people present and said that during the campaign being run on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Rani Ahilyabai, we have to take her ideals, works and thoughts to the people.
