– 48 Thousand 91 Metric tons of Wheat has been Procured
Gurugram : Wheat procurement work continues uninterrupted in the district. So far, 48 thousand 91 metric tons of wheat has been procured in all four mandis of the district.
DC Ajay Kumar said that adequate arrangements have been made for the convenience of farmers in the mandis. Agencies are procuring crops by looking at the heaps and getting them examined. 30 thousand 766 metric tons of wheat has been procured in Heli Mandi, 3823 in Sohna, 8613 in Farrukhnagar and 4888 metric tons of wheat has been procured in Khod Mandi. Of these, Hafed Agency has procured 21 thousand 919 and Haryana Warehouse Corporation has procured 26 thousand 171 metric tons of wheat. 7 thousand 162 farmers have come to these mandis so far to sell their crops.
Agencies have been instructed to lift the crops quickly so that the procurement work continues smoothly. So far, 13 thousand 334 metric tonnes have been lifted in these three mandis. He said that in view of the heavy arrival of crops in the mandis, strong arrangements have been made for traffic control.
