RJD Leader Tejaswi Yadav Meets Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge to Discuss Bihar Assembly Election Scenario

New Delhi : Political excitement has started increasing regarding the assembly elections to be held in Bihar this Year . An important meeting was held today between the state’s main opposition party RJD and the Congress leadership. In this meeting, senior leaders of both the parties discussed about the electoral alliance. Many senior leaders including Congress Party’s National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, while from RJD’s side, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly former Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav, MP Manoj Jha were present in this meeting,.

This information has been released by Congress Party’s National President Mallikarjun Kharge through with a video on the social media platform X. He has said that this time, change is certain in Bihar.

In his statement, Mr. Kharge has said that “Today we met the former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Mr. @yadavtejashwi, and discussed the strengthening of the Grand Alliance.”

The Congress President has said that “In the coming elections, we will give the people of Bihar a strong, positive, just and welfare option. Bihar will be liberated from the BJP and its opportunistic alliance. Youth, farmers-laborers, women, backward, extremely backward and all other sections of the society want a Grand Alliance government.”

This was the first formal meeting of the leaders of both the parties regarding the assembly elections. Shri Kharge indicated that both party can have pre election allaince . Speaking with media RJD Leader Tejaswi Yadav also gave same indication saying today’s meeting a formal one to discuss election strategy .

However, both the parties have chosen their separate paths and have intensified political activities. The Congress Party has also recently changed its state president. The party has appointed Rajesh Kumar, son of senior Congress leader Dilkeshwar Ram, as the new president of the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee. Earlier, Rajya Sabha member Akhilesh Prasad Singh was the state president.

56-year-old Rajesh Kumar has been a Congress party MLA for two consecutive terms from Kutumba assembly constituency in Aurangabad district of Bihar. He started his political career by contesting the assembly elections as an independent candidate in 2005. After losing that time, Mr Kumar unsuccessfully tried to contest again as a Congress candidate in the 2010 assembly elections. He finally tasted success by defeating Santosh Kumar Suman, elder son of Hindustani Awam Morcha-Secular (HAM-S) founder and former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, in the 2015 and 2020 assembly elections and HAM-S candidate Shravan Bhuiyan in the 2020 assembly election.

Rashtriya Janta Dal has also released the information about Today’s meeting on its Social Platform X . The party said that ” Today, the Honorable Leader of Opposition Shri Tejashwi Yadav Ji met Congress National President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge Ji, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Shri Rahul Gandhi Ji, Shri KC Venugopal Ji, Bihar Incharge Shri Krishna Allavaru Ji, Congress State President Shri Rajesh Ram Ji and discussed in detail about ensuring the victory of the Mahagathbandhan. Change will be ensured in Bihar by keeping the real concerns of the people at the center. Now there will be talk only of comprehensive change. ”

Congress party’s organization general secretary KC Venugopal, Bihar Congress in-charge Alla Varu,  Bihar State Congress President Rajesh Kumar, RJD MP Manoj Kumar Jha and Sanjay Yadav were also present in the meeting.
