CMO Dr. Virendra Yadav said that glaucoma is also called kala motiya in common language. This disease causes serious and continuous damage to the optic nerve (nerve responsible for vision) and gradually destroys vision. If this disease is not treated, a person can also become blind. Referring to the important factors of this disease, he said that cataract can develop in a person even if the eye pressure is normal. If cataract is identified in the initial stages, then weakening of vision can be prevented. In such a situation, get regular checkups done and pay attention to any new changes or symptoms in the eyes.
