New Delhi, Jan 09 : “Academic leaders must learn entrepreneurial skills for needo-governance in institutional management”, believes Propounder Needonomics School of Thought Prof. Madan Mohan Goel, Former Vice-Chancellor and superannuated Professor of economics from Kurukshetra University. He was addressing the participants of the leadership capacity development programme for the senior academic administrators of the universities/ Principals of Colleges under the Indian System of Medicine conducted by the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA) Delhi in collaboration with the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM),. His topic was “Needo-governance and Ethics in Institutional Management”. Professor Madhumita Bandyopadhyay delivered the welcome address and presented a citation on the achievements of Prof. M.M. Goel.
The challenges of modern society call for creating a system of governance that promotes sustainable human development with gender-neutral literature needed today, said Prof Goel.
For the new narrative of needo-governance in institutional management, we must become street SMART( simple, moral, action-oriented, responsive, and transparent ) academic leaders, explained Prof Goel.
To make the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 sufficient as needo-education for needo-employability, we must adopt a well-defined Public-Private –Partnership (PPP) model ensuring needo-governance for minimizing the challenges in its implementation believes Prof. Goel.
For every ill in the Indian system of educational governance, there are Vedic pills, and Gita and Anu-Gita are the panaceas, told Prof. Goel.
To enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of government in improving governance, we must understand and adopt Gita-based needonomics, explained Needonomist Goel.
To create a work culture needed today, there is a need to convert holiday culture into a holy-day culture with fasting including digital fasting once a week, justified Prof Goel.
Empowerment to play with the paperweight needs a decentralization approach which is sufficient to get better than the best in our endeavors, said Prof. Goel.
