Gurgaon , 12 March :  “We have to understand the educational needs of the students with empathy to get cemented in the teaching profession,” opined Professor Dr M.M. Goel, Vice-Chancellor Starex University Gurugram and Founder Needonomics School of Thought. He was delivering the 7th convocation address of Sardar Patel College of Education Farukh Nagar (Gurgaon) today . Dr. Vijay Bansal Director of the College welcomed & introduced Vice- Chancellor M.M Goel.

Starex University VC made a case for treating education as a highly valuable service that has a price tag and not a heavily subsidized commodity. To keep the education within the reach of aspirants, there is a case for effective Public-Private Partnership (PPP model), told Prof. Goel. To improve the functioning of educational institutions, we require street smart teachers with effective leadership qualities, told Goel.

A teaching job is beyond the border of profession and vocation simply earning the livelihood, to be carried out with a sense of mission, said Prof. Goel. The fraternity of teachers deserve to be known as children of Sarswati in the knowledge economy of India where ‘Sarswati’ is equally if not more than ‘Lakshmi is worshipped, said Prof. Goel.
We need to become good teachers if not great teachers to be the messenger of knowledge for nurturing the maturity and character of the students, believes Prof. Goel.

We need to accept the challenge of the competition with the foreign universities by providing spiritual training to teachers to be unique, told Prof. Goel.
