Scheduled from 2nd to 4th of December
Gurugram : SBI Card GIFLIF is geared for the third edition of the festival scheduled from 2nd to 4th of December at DLF Cyber Hub, Gurgaon. With a fantastic line up, this year SBI Card GIFLIF has plenty on the platter. Along with film screenings, panel discussions and book readings a play, kavi sammelan and music concert are also planned for the festival.
The inauguration of the festival is to be done by Padma Vibhsuhan Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Padma Bhushan Ruskin Bond, Mr. Subhash Ghai, Mr. Prakash Jha, Mr. Anurag Batra and Mrs Sumita Mishra (Principal Secretary- Dept of Cultural Affairs, Haryana).
The other famous personalities gracing SBI Card GIFLIF this season are Mr. Sudhir Mishra, Mr. Piyush Mishra, Mr. Rajat Kapoor, Mr. Vinay Pathak, Mr. Kiran Nagarkar, Mr. Anand Neelakantan, Mr. Anurag Batra, Mr. Arunabh Kumar (TVF), Mr. Rahul Roshan (Founder- Faking News), Ms. Ritu Menon (Co-founder- Kali for women) and many others.
The panel discussions cover numerous topics like- Painting the 70mm Canvas, Scripting the Success- discussion on scripts, Scenes from Writer’s Life, Digital is the New Normal, Harnessing the Power of Comics and many others. The evening extravaganza on Day 1 of the festival is a play- Nothing like Lear Directed by Rajat Kapoor and enacted by Vinay Pathak. Evening extravaganza on Day 2 is a soulful performance of Rajshekhar (lyricist- Tanu weds Manu) – Majnu ka Teela and a kavi sammelan to be attended by poetic geniuses like Surendra Sharma, Dr. Seeta Sagar and Piyush Mishra. Evening extravaganza on Day 3 is the official launch of Ballimaaraan- Piyush Mishra`s band.

SBI Card GIFLIF has stepped beyond film and literature this time and integrated a lot of elements like theatre and music to add a new dimension to the festival. Some fantastic authors like Sahitya Akademi winner Kiran Nagarkar and Anand Neelakantan (Author of bestseller- Asura) have their book reading sessions.
