Gurugram : Every Year 2nd October is celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti in India and worldwide as International Day of Nonviolence. Rotary Public School, Sector – 22, Gurgaon celebrated Gandhi Jayanti the entire week in a very different manner. Inter house Scene Enactment competition was held on the ‘Life of Gandhiji’. Every day the students enacted on the differen scenes depicted fro
m Gandhiji’s life. The school paid homage to one of India’s greatest leaders in a unique way so that students could know the importance of compassion in life, self-discipline, hygiene mutual tolerance, nonviolence and honesty as it is the dire need of the today’s youth. Almost all the incidents of his life are inspirational.
He shaped the nation with his actions.All the four houses Everest, Kanchanjunga, Makalu and Dhaulagiri of the school participated whole heartedly. Everest house bagged the first position whichdepicted the scenes of Dandi March. Other houses highlighted the incidents of Sabarmati Aashram, scenes of Gandhiji’s school going days and and concept of Gandhi jike teen Bandar.
