The Whole School was Decorated with Maths Figures
A Special Assembly was also Organized Showing ‘Maths in Everyday Life
GURUGRAM : Maths is the most important subject in any academic curriculum & children generally are not fond of this subject. But it is on the teacher how she makes a subject interesting and captures the imaginative young minds. Keeping this in mind, Lions Public School celebrated Maths Week in the school. Various activities were conducted at different levels. The whole school was decorated with Maths figures.
Classes I & II students made Santa Clause using paper plates. They were shown animated movie on shapes which was thoroughly enjoyed by them.
In order to create interest of the students towards the subject, different activities were under taken in school. In this reference students show cased a lot of mathematics tricks. They performed interesting activities according to their level such as in primary section number line activity , mathematical shapes concept of short and tall were taken up classes third to VII performed activities like speech , poem , crossword puzzle , math quiz , poster making , origami , Sudoku and Kakuro .
A special assembly was also organized showing ‘Maths in Everyday Life’. Students of Class III made colourful models of 3 – D shapes and beautiful Rangoli patterns were made by classes IV & V. Classes VI & VII made some innovative and interesting board games using mathematical shapes. Students displayed their activities and games on PTM. They also asked a few tricks and puzzles from Parents & Teachers.
Sr. Principal Dr Neelima Prakash appreciated the students for their efforts and motivated them to continue doing these types of explorative activities.
Rajiv Kumar, Manager, Lions Public School appreciated the efforts of the student participants and encouraged them to take part in all sort of activities conducted in days to come.
