Gurgaon: The event of Cyclothon 2016 will be held in Gurgaon tomorrow on 25th Sept 2016 . The theme of the event is to acknowledge the World Car Free Day. It will also create more awareness and seriousness for road Safety among the residents of Gurgaon.
Akram Singh Lamba a member of the this event organizing committee said that there are over 1000 cyclists registered, who will be contributing to this event. A flash mob customized for the warm up is also part of the event . Many school children will be participating by showcasing their creativity on the same day as part of the Raahgiri foundation.
He said that the Cyclothon 2016, powered by Decathlon, will be flagged off from HUDA City Centre at 7 am and will go till the Toll on Gurgaon-Faridabad expressway and return. It will be followed by the Prize distribution ceremony planned at 10:00 AM the same day.
According to Nandini Chaturvedi another organizing member of the event , Mr. Rajbir Deswal, Addnl. Director General of Police, Haryana will be chief guest in this cycling to celebrate the cause apart from other dignitaries from the district administration Gurgaon. A corporate partner of this event Himanshu Sharma assured that a trained marshal teams will be deployed all along the route to assist the participants. For the convenience of the participants 10 water stations, first aid, ambulance backup, mechanic / breakdown facility will also be available in that rout.
He informed that Municipal Corporation Gurgaon, Gurgaon Police and the Raahgiri Foundation are agreed to support us and Nasscom and Nagarroare our corporate supporters.
