New York: Nepal’s Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal met India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA81) in New York.
During the meeting, Khanal expressed his sincere appreciation to the Government and people of India for their solidarity and immediate critical assistance following the recent catastrophic floods in Nepal.
The two ministers also exchanged views on a range of issues of mutual interest and discussed the importance of further strengthening the close and longstanding relationship between Nepal and India.
The meeting highlighted the continued importance of India-Nepal cooperation and mutual support, particularly during times of natural disasters and humanitarian emergencies.
Both sides reiterated the significance of maintaining close engagement and further deepening the multifaceted ties between the two neighbouring countries.
