India conveys condolences over recent flash floods; talks focus on strengthening bilateral ties
New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar met Nepal’s Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle in New Delhi and discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation between India and Nepal.
During the meeting, Jaishankar conveyed his deep condolences over the loss of lives and damage to property caused by the recent flash floods in Nepal.
The discussions covered key areas of bilateral cooperation, with particular emphasis on economic ties, energy cooperation and connectivity.
Jaishankar said the meeting provided an opportunity to explore ways to further strengthen overall India-Nepal cooperation across these priority areas.
The engagement underlines the continued focus by both countries on expanding bilateral cooperation and strengthening economic and connectivity linkages.
