Lucknow: BJP Rajya Sabha MP and former Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma was appointed Lieutenant Governor of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Saturday.
Reacting to the appointment, Sharma said that no responsibility is inherently big or small and expressed gratitude to the central leadership, particularly Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for placing its trust in him.
“No responsibility is inherently big or small. The central leadership, especially Prime Minister Modi, has placed immense trust in me, and I will make every effort to honour that faith. Whatever challenges arise, we will face them together as a team,” Sharma said.
