Bhairabkunda, Arunachal Pradesh: The 61st Battalion of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has achieved a major success in its ongoing efforts against narcotics trafficking by seizing approximately 321 kg of suspected ganja-like substance during an operation in Arunachal Pradesh.
During the operation, the SSB personnel also seized a Bolero vehicle and apprehended one person in connection with the suspected drug consignment.
Following the seizure, the contraband, vehicle and apprehended individual were handed over to Kalaktang Police Station in West Kameng district for further legal proceedings.
The operation highlights the continued efforts of the SSB to curb the movement and trafficking of narcotic substances in the region. The force has maintained a zero-tolerance approach towards narcotics trafficking, particularly in border and strategically sensitive areas. Recent operations by the 61st Battalion have also resulted in seizures of cannabis consignments in the Bhairabkunda–West Kameng area.
The latest seizure reinforces the SSB’s commitment to disrupting drug-trafficking networks and strengthening security against the illegal movement of narcotic substances.
