New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held talks with Japan’s Defence Minister Shinjiro Koizumi, focusing on ways to further strengthen defence and security cooperation between the two countries.
Expressing his pleasure at receiving the Japanese Defence Minister, Prime Minister Modi said the two leaders had an excellent and productive conversation on expanding bilateral engagement in the defence and security sectors.
The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership, describing it as a key pillar supporting peace, stability and prosperity across the Indo-Pacific region and beyond.
The meeting reflects the continued efforts of India and Japan to deepen their strategic partnership and enhance cooperation on regional and global security issues.
