Ramallah : Secretary (CPV & OIA) in the Ministry of External Affairs, Ambassador Sripriya Ranganathan, held a meeting with Varsen Aghabekian Shahin, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Palestine, during her official visit to the region.
The two sides reviewed the full spectrum of India-Palestine bilateral relations, with particular emphasis on India’s extensive development cooperation initiatives in Palestine.
The discussions also covered developments in Gaza, humanitarian requirements and India’s ongoing development partnership with the Palestinian people. Ranganathan reiterated India’s longstanding support for a negotiated two-state solution and stressed the importance of sustained humanitarian assistance, dialogue and diplomacy.
India and Palestine also reviewed cooperation in areas including health, education and capacity building, along with opportunities to expand development cooperation in sectors aligned with Palestinian needs.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the longstanding friendship and deepening bilateral cooperation between India and Palestine.
