Indian High Commissioner Dinesh Trivedi Meets ICC Bangladesh President, Discusses Strengthening Trade and Economic Cooperation

Dhaka : Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi met Mahbubur Rahman, President of the International Chamber of Commerce Bangladesh (ICCB), at the ICCB Secretariat in Dhaka on August 3, to discuss ways to further strengthen trade and economic cooperation between India and Bangladesh.

The meeting was also attended by members of the ICCB Board, reflecting the importance of private sector engagement in enhancing bilateral economic relations.

During the discussions, both sides explored opportunities to expand trade, investment, innovation, and broader economic cooperation between the two neighbouring countries. They emphasised the growing role of the private sector in driving sustainable economic growth and creating new avenues for collaboration for the mutual benefit of India and Bangladesh.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of strengthening business-to-business (B2B) engagement and enhancing people-to-people ties, describing them as key pillars of the enduring India-Bangladesh partnership.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to promoting closer economic linkages and expanding cooperation through stronger institutional and commercial partnerships, aimed at fostering shared prosperity and long-term bilateral growth.
