New Delhi : Leaders of the INDIA bloc met on Tuesday in the chamber of Congress President and Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, to deliberate on key issues concerning the ongoing Parliament session.
The meeting focused on formulating the Opposition’s strategy for the current session and coordinating its approach on issues expected to be raised in both Houses of Parliament.
According to Opposition leaders, the meeting also discussed the alleged Ram Temple donation (“Chanda”) controversy and the recent lathi-charge on students. The leaders said these issues would continue to be raised during the ongoing Parliament session.
The INDIA bloc leaders demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah come to the House and explain the government’s position on the issues raised by the Opposition.
Senior leaders from the INDIA alliance participated in the meeting, reaffirming their resolve to jointly raise matters of public concern and hold the government accountable during the remainder of the Parliament session.
