New Delhi/Washington D.C./Tehran: US President Donald Trump has said that Iran has been given a “last chance” to reach an agreement with Washington, claiming that a planned US military strike was put on hold after Iran and several Gulf countries called for diplomacy, according to international media reports.
Speaking on the issue, President Trump said efforts were underway to fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a key global energy transit route. He added that the next phase of discussions would focus on Iran’s denuclearisation, describing it as a priority in efforts to reduce regional tensions.
