New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu met the crew of the Indian Army Sailing Vessel (IASV) Triveni at Rashtrapati Bhavan, congratulating the all-women team for successfully completing the Tri-Services All-Women Circumnavigation Sailing Expedition – Samudra Pradakshina.
The expedition covered more than 25,000 nautical miles, navigating some of the world’s most challenging waters while rounding the iconic Cape Leeuwin, Cape Horn, and the Cape of Good Hope.
Commending the crew for their remarkable achievement, President Murmu praised their courage, resilience and exemplary professionalism in successfully completing the demanding global voyage.
She said the expedition stands as a testament to the capabilities of India’s women in the armed forces and will inspire young Indians, particularly women, to dream big, break barriers and serve the nation with dedication and commitment.
