New Delhi: Skyroot Aerospace Co-founder and CEO Pawan Kumar Chandana shared a heartfelt experience following the successful Vikram-1 mission, saying one of the most memorable moments came during a casual visit to the home of the company’s senior propulsion scientist, Gnanagandhi. He shared a photograph of his arrival in his society.
Chandana said he was pleasantly surprised to find hundreds of children and families from the scientist’s apartment community gathered to interact with him. According to Chandana, the enthusiastic audience asked numerous questions about rockets, propulsion systems and space exploration, reflecting growing public interest in India’s space sector.
He noted that Gnanagandhi has been a key pillar of Skyroot Aerospace’s journey and one of the principal contributors to the Vikram-1 mission. Chandana said it was heartwarming to see the local community celebrating both the scientist and the mission’s achievement.
Reflecting on the broader significance of the launch, Chandana remarked that the true impact of a space mission extends beyond successfully reaching orbit. He said its greatest achievement lies in motivating the next generation to dream bigger, pursue science and technology, and aspire to contribute to India’s future in space exploration.
