New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta visited Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital in Mayur Vihar Phase-II to assess healthcare facilities and interact directly with patients and their families, reaffirming the government’s commitment to improving public health services.
During the visit, the Chief Minister spoke with patients and their attendants to understand their experiences, gather feedback and hear their expectations regarding the quality of medical care. She said that direct interaction with citizens provides valuable insights and serves as the foundation for building a more responsive and people-centric healthcare system.
Rekha Gupta also conducted a comprehensive review of the hospital’s functioning, inspecting standards of cleanliness, the availability of medicines and the quality of healthcare services being provided. She directed officials to take immediate corrective measures wherever shortcomings were identified to ensure better patient care.
Emphasising the importance of public trust in government healthcare institutions, the Chief Minister said every patient’s confidence is invaluable and must be protected through efficient and compassionate medical services.
She reiterated that the Delhi Government remains committed to ensuring every resident has access to timely, dignified and quality healthcare, while continuously strengthening public hospitals to provide improved treatment and patient-friendly services.
