Government Holds Third Round of Talks with CJP; Assures No Action Against Protesters, Positive Response to Reform Charter
New Delhi : The Central Government on Friday held the third round of talks with the delegation of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) to discuss issues arising out of the ongoing agitation and proposals for examination reforms.
Addressing a joint press conference after the meeting, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare J.P. Nadda, accompanied by Minister of State Dr. Jitendra Singh and CJP leaders, said the delegation had submitted a written proposal covering cases related to the agitation along with its Five-Point Charter on examination and education reforms.
Nadda said the government has assured the delegation that no action will be taken against the organisers or protesters, and no fresh cases will be registered in connection with the agitation.
The Union Minister also expressed condolences to the families of students who lost their lives during the course of the movement. He said the government has assured that the affected families will receive the highest possible compensation in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations.
Referring to the Five-Point Charter, Nadda said the government has responded positively to the proposals concerning examination and education reforms. He added that discussions with the CJP delegation would continue to examine the recommendations in detail and work towards appropriate reforms.
The government also appealed to students and youth to withdraw the agitation peacefully and allow the dialogue process to continue, reaffirming its commitment to addressing their concerns through constructive engagement.
