New Delhi : The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Anurag Jain, an IAS officer of the 1989 Madhya Pradesh cadre, as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NITI Aayog.
Anurag Jain will take charge as the head of the government’s premier public policy think tank for a tenure of up to two years, or until further orders are issued. His appointment will be governed by the same terms and conditions as those applicable to his predecessor, according to the official order.
The appointment comes as part of the government’s administrative reshuffle aimed at ensuring continuity in the functioning of NITI Aayog, which plays a key role in policy formulation, strategic planning, and driving India’s development agenda.
