New Delhi : Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has expressed support for protesting students, raising concerns over issues related to education, competitive examinations and employment opportunities for the youth.
Speaking about the students’ grievances, Rahul Gandhi said that young people in the country are facing a lack of opportunities and that the competitive examination system, which many depend upon for their future, has also come under criticism.
He alleged that the education system is being influenced by corporate interests and political organisations, claiming that students’ concerns are linked not only to education but also to their broader future prospects.
Rahul Gandhi said the issue represents the aspirations and anxieties of India’s youth, who are seeking better opportunities, fair access to education and employment.
He also criticised the government’s handling of the situation and called for accountability from Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Home Minister and the Prime Minister.
Rahul Gandhi further stated that he would meet the students who were injured during the protests and listen to their concerns.
The remarks come amid ongoing debates over education reforms, examination systems and the challenges faced by young aspirants across the country.
