New Delhi: Chief of Defence of France, General (Air) Fabien Mandon, called on Defence Secretary Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh in New Delhi on July 20, 2026, marking an important engagement towards further strengthening the India-France defence partnership.
During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to expanding bilateral defence cooperation, with a renewed focus on defence industrial collaboration through co-design, co-development, and co-production.
The discussions highlighted the shared vision of building stronger defence capabilities while supporting India’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India) initiative through enhanced technology cooperation and indigenous defence manufacturing.
The two sides also reviewed the progress of defence cooperation in line with the outcomes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to France, further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
