New Delhi: External Affairs Minister of India Dr. S. Jaishankar held a productive meeting with Panama’s Foreign Minister Javier Martínez-Acha in New Delhi, focusing on strengthening bilateral ties and expanding cooperation across key sectors.
During the discussions, Dr. Jaishankar highlighted the importance of deepening India’s engagement with Panama as a strategic gateway to the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region.
The two leaders held wide-ranging discussions on enhancing cooperation in areas including trade, business, development partnership, maritime cooperation, healthcare, agriculture, education, and digital technologies.
Dr. Jaishankar also discussed India and Panama’s collaboration at multilateral forums, underlining the shared commitment to working together on global issues of mutual interest.
The meeting reflects India’s growing outreach to Latin America and the Caribbean region and marks another step towards strengthening the India-Panama strategic partnership through expanded economic and diplomatic cooperation.
