Tokyo/New Delhi: India and Japan are further strengthening their long-standing cooperation in the agriculture sector, with both countries focusing on knowledge sharing, capacity building, and exchange of expertise to enhance agricultural development.
Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of India, R. Madhu Sudan, held a meeting with Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan, Nemoto Yukikuni, at the Embassy premises. During the interaction, both sides exchanged views on the progress of the robust agricultural partnership between India and Japan and explored opportunities for further cooperation.
Agriculture has remained an important area of collaboration between the two countries for several years. Through joint initiatives, including sharing of agricultural knowledge and technology, training programmes, and personnel exchanges, India and Japan have achieved significant outcomes benefiting the agricultural sectors of both nations.
