New Delhi : Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah on Tuesday extended greetings to the nation on the occasion of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Ji’s Sirhind Fateh Divas.
In a post shared on X, Shri Amit Shah described Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Ji as a symbol of unwavering devotion to faith, complete dedication to the motherland and extraordinary courage in the fight against injustice.
The Home Minister said Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Ji was an ascetic by nature and an invincible warrior committed to the protection of faith. He noted that Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Ji united farmers and led a determined struggle against oppression, defeated the Mughal forces and delivered an enduring message of self-respect, courage and protection of faith.
Shri Amit Shah further said that despite facing immense cruelty and hardships, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Ji never accepted religious conversion and remained steadfast in his beliefs. He added that the life and sacrifice of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Ji would continue to inspire generations in safeguarding the nation and preserving faith.
